Candia Systems Ltd is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and to minimising the environmental impact of our activities on both the local and global environment. We will comply with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations, and where practicable seek to exceed their requirements.
The key commitments of this policy are:
Energy and emissions. We deliver all work digitally, operate from a low-energy office environment, and prioritise remote collaboration over travel. Where site visits are required, we plan routes to minimise fuel consumption. We are working towards measuring our carbon footprint and setting targets for reduction.
Waste. We minimise waste by operating a predominantly digital workflow. Where physical materials are used, we segregate waste for reuse and recycling and aim to reduce waste volumes over time.
Procurement. We consider the environmental impact of our purchasing decisions, favouring energy-efficient equipment, sustainable suppliers, and products made from recycled or sustainable sources where available.
Continuous improvement. We will monitor our environmental performance, set objectives for ongoing improvement, and review this policy annually to ensure it reflects current best practice.
Responsibility for environmental management rests with the Director. We encourage our suppliers and partners to adopt similar environmental principles.
